Good Month, it seems that is all I can do to keep a monthly post.
To start would be with the blessings.
Work, it is so nice to have a paycheck a place to work, duties that are enjoyable and good people to work with.
To know of the gospel of Christ and be part of the work, to have a calling that I love, "do I dare express that?"
To have wonderful children, (not perfect folks) just wonderful, caring, loving and productive adult children. Being a friend to them is a profound blessing "thanks guys".
For beautiful grandchildren for they are the hope of this nation and His church.
To be part of a great family of brothers, sister, their families and children and grandchildren.
For my parents and the example they have set for me and mine.
These last 30 days have been a storm of activity, a new grandson, Mr. David Christopher Holloway, Dad and Mom, Jason and Mindi. That is special beyond words to hold someone so new and look into those eyes who has just saw God.
I traveled to Boise to visit with my Mother who is approaching the last phase of her mortality, Lynnae was able to go with me and that in itself is a special blessing. My Sister, Marala , brother Kell, and his family were also in Boise for a special visit. Thanks for making the trip.

This in February already
Wow, this is February already. A lot has happened and yet all is the same. As most who read this blog know; Cory, Andrea and Emma are living with me now, the idea is for Cory to complete his education and then find a place for his little family. We are still adjusting to each other. I find it somewhat funny on how I had liked everything in its place and had my own little routine in such a short period of time. Cleaning out drawers and closets seemed to much bigger struggle than it should have been, it is amazing to me some of the things we had, for example more than a dozen toenail clippers, and more fingernail clippers. Thanks, Dinah for helping me on that. My littlest granddaughter is the ruler of the house, she has a smile that will brighten the day and fill the room, and for such a little person a voice that demands attention. I would take a bunch of pictures and post them here, however with Lynnae's and Mindi's and Andrea's blog there is more than enough pictures of me in this cyberspace.
Now for the question my children have been asking me about, I have been seeing a Lady, her name is' Debbie she is a member of the church and is easy to talk to. I still find it odd that any woman of quality would be interested in me. Daughters there is no way I could ever replace your mother I will always love her completely. I hope that there is room in my heart to love another with that same intensity, if not I will not burden any woman with me.
The blessing of the month, The Tender Mercies of the Lord, the answer to prayer and Love of family and friends, thank you all for your prayers on my behalf.

This is the Season
This is the season, yes that is I with a snow shovel in my hands, now that has been awhile for the old fellow it gives you a good workout, all of this is backwards, so the last is first and the first is last, following are pictures of my grandsons and some of what I have been up too sense the last time I added to this blog. This is Cole, eating snow....
Kalab, thinking of ways to bug his brothers, some things he is really good at.
Landon, look cute and helping build that, poor snowman, these fellows can wear me out long before they even get winded.

Fire time in the house, this stove will heat you up, and it sure feels good on these cold winter days. Now if we just had that duct tape for these little guys.
This morning the boys and I built and snowman, I know he is not living the word of wisdom but he is one poor looking fellow and very cold.
On the 19th I got on a bus, yup a bus to come to Colorado, 19 hours and 4 bus changes I got as close to Cortez as Darango. Kyle and Kalab picked me up on Saturday morning and here I am. This will surely be a white Christmas, this is Kyle and Julie's house in Cortez. I sure hope she is busy with her new calling, there is no doubt the Lord is keeping her busy, and she will get to spent this season with her Dad, and My Dad and all the rest who have graduated from this life.
Part of this season was visiting Becky's grave site, every year the veteran's groups add wreaths to each headstone, we went one Sunday morning early, Thanks girls for going with me
This is Summer and her fellow, some sort of lucky fellow, the Temple is the only place to start out and these two did it right. It was wonderful to be part of this
The good old four generation photo, this was in November while in Boise for Summer Gropp's wedding. At least three of them look good
Are these two good looking!!! I am really looking forward to having these two at the house and getting to know them better. This is Andrea and Emma, boy us Gropp boys do good "don't we
I have not updated this is a while, have spent every minute working on that little house getting it ready for the new tenets. In case you do not know Cory, Andrea and Emma will be bunking at the house until he completes school. It will be great and I have purchased a case of duct tape to keep Cory in line. I am not kidding Cory

This Great land of ours
I have not updated my blog for several weeks. I have been able to do some exciting things from the last time I posted. However have been in a funk because of the Presidential elections. I do not see in this last election a single positive thing. Mr. Barak Hussian Mohammad Obama II The Kenyan in my humble opion is the poorest excuse for a leader ever. I fear for this land and make it an earnest part of my daily prayers that we will survive as a nation.
On the happy side, was able to attend a wedding of a beautiful niece, Summer,in the Boise Temple; visit with sons, Cory and Jim and their families, as well as my brothers, sister, mother and all those folks in the Boise area.
All will be well I am told by our leaders and perhaps this rough spot will make us stronger as a nation. Some good out of the bad, ya think.

Granddaughters
I had to add a picture, this is the Rexburg Temple, However that is not the story of the week. I had the privilege of being a DA to two of my grand children, Mindi's girls 3 and 15 months, Mindi was to be the judge at a Choir contest in Waco. I had those two little beauties most of Saturday, in my great wisdom decided to go to the grocery store about nap time. On arriving at the store they give out balloons to the kids, each balloon has a sucker on the end. Cailyn bites her finger and starts yelling, crying "I want my mommy" so I went from being a cool grandpa to feeling like some child abductor. I wanted her mommy too. Moral of the story, do not do anything at nap time, the store is not a good idea anytime with little ones, and that is the wisdom of the day.

The new family member.
As you can tell this was a slow week in the news department. I spent some time on the road to visit some High schools for the college. Note this is MeMeMa's dog: enjoy
Saturday, Kathie and Drew purchased a gate for him, he is such a little runt of a dog. Drew and I had to add a wire mesh to the gate to keep him in. So if you need plastic ties on anything we are the team for you.
MeMeMa, got a new dog "Cash"I told the family I would post a picture so here is the new brother, Skelton family.

Angels that have been sent.
Yesterday a general authority of the church gave a talk about the answer to prayer, and the Lord sending angels to assist us. If you recall the story about a young man, who while praying was sent an Angel to help him. It was his father. I believe that many times that is the answer to prayer.I have such a story of the tender mercies of the Lord my sweet wife and I have been sent such Angels. On Becky's last earthly journey she was assisted by the Lords ministering Angels.
Our daughters, Lynnae and Mindi demonstrated the pure love of Christ the Sweetness and Love. All who help them in the care of their mother showed the same concern and support.
