Toys and Volleyball.

Due to the world wide energy crisis I did purchase a scooter to do my part for mankind and the local Honda dealer.......Ok,OK a man needs a new toy now and then, I could try to justify buying a scooter, however I can not it is just a toy but it does go fast, or fast enough and gets 50 ++ mpg. Maybe I will break even on the fuel savings in twenty years or so. Although I did feel a little like the fellow on the movie "Dumb and Dumber" as I was zipping around town on my "Hog". This is a Honda Reflex, one of Honda's larger scooters. What is money for if you can't spend it.

Here are the pics of Maycie and part of the volleyball team, they did well today, way to go Maycie. What do you think a great smile when no one is looking.

w

One of today's highlights a smile on Maycie.

Sports and more sports

Keaton, played a little football this morning, getting pads on with a little help from Becca. One of his coaches is Doug. We will not discuss the score. Maycie also had a volleyball game and did very well, it seems she is one of the best servers, I could not get her picture to post, will try that in a new post latter.

This is a weird lay out, the text follows the pictures, enjoy. Today it was more sports and I will add more pictures hopefully you can put them all together.

Becky Loved High School, so this is for you Kid.

Maycie and her "people"

This weekend in one of my long weekends, so I attended a good ol Texas Friday night Lights football game, Lynnae's stepson Jacob, plays for the Normangee team. Texas has many many small towns and they all have football teams, many times all that is there is a school " with a football team"

I did get to visit Lynnae, Doug and the "Children" I am sure they are going to love the pictures perhaps they will still talk to me after they see this . As you can tell Maycie, my oldest grandchild has that "attitude" that only comes with being a teenager.
Blessing for this week. Being the recipient of unconditional love.

Work ???

Yesterday, like the last 5 years or so I set up and represented Texas State Techinical College at the McGregor Founders Day Celebration. Becky taught at McGregor for the last 16 years and was a fixture at the TSTC booth. I was dreading the day not having her with me greeting all the folks she knew and taught. I dreaded all the expected declarations of sympathy. However I was greeted with a hugs, young ones, old ones, thin ones, some not so thin ones, sweet smelling ones, and some not so. I am sure the fellow in the booth next to me was wondering how to get in on the action. It was for me a sweet and uplifting day . "I not sure about the intended reason for being there was fulfilled." I have decided I like hugs, but being an old bald headed fellow I cannot solicit them, however any offered I will take. I also know that those "hugs" were for Becky. I love my Job!

Blessing for the week, Working with people I love and loving what I do!

These days in the good old US of A

I have stopped listening to talk radio in the morning driving to work, this political season is maddening, my jaw was beginning to hurt from clinching my teeth. Those folks will just have to lose on there own. I hope and pray that this country will survive if the floppy eared fellow wins.
Thought that you would enjoy a pic of Jim and Candace, with Emma taken in August the day she was blessed. Gee that makes or soon will make a even dozen grandbabies, when RJ gets here. My blessing to count this week, family and health. Good Night!

Blessings

Yesterday, I spent the day just picking up things at the house. it was rainy and gas at $4 again, a good day to "chill". During the process I came across, the blessing basket. That is a basket that you are supposed to write down the blessing of the day, as generally the case, Becky, is the only one to write down her blessings. here is what she wrote:

April 4, 2007, Today I signed my contract with McGregor ISD to teach for 2007-2008 school year.

April 6, 2007, We were blessed today when Chris cut his fingers and had stitches. (did not cut them off).

Undated, We had a safe trip to the Big House(Temple). I was only poked twice --they did well today!!

April 10, 2007, I'm alive and have very few, if any, symptoms from the brain cancer cells that are still in my head.

April 10, 2007, Cory and Andrea arrived safely from Idaho, Nevada, Colorado! Got here at 6:45 AM.

Undated, Andrea's family arrived in Waco safely and unharmed by the bad, tornadic weather.

April 13, 2007, Mindi, Jason and babies came today.

Undated, Cory's and Andrea's Open House was well attended and friends gave many wonderful gifts showing an outpouring of love and support.

I will try to add to that daily: Today's is; I am so happy to be part of Lord's plan, and to have had the blessing of being with Becky for 34 mortal years and through out all eternity.

All day on a 4 Foot by 6 Foot Wall.....

I just took many coats of paint off my tiny bathroom wall, well I have been working on this for about 6 months now. I could use this as part of this old house, except they get something done on that program. There must have been 30 coats of paint and stuff on it, I finally got to the bare wall and got some paint that is supposed to last until the 2nd coming. At this rate the saints would still be working on the first floor of the Salt Lake Temple.

Sheri Z. from McGregor Elementary brought by the last school pictures of Becky, What a lady.. I could not get the picture to post. I will keep trying.

Loving what is going on the race for the presidency, I sure hope Obama self destructs.

Sleep.

Hey what is thing thing with, sleep anyway. Never in my life have I had not gone to sleep at bed time. Do I need sounds in the house? A person next to me telling me not to hog the covers? Do you know how stupid late night TV is, those folks don't get enough air, at least it does not get to the brain. Well anyway just a thought. Good Night.

Just what do you do on a tag thing anyway
